Prototype of a mobile application created for the federally funded assistance program, The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). WIC offers food packages specially designed to meet the nutritional needs of low-income participants. One of the main barriers preventing retention within the program stems from a lack of clarity over WIC eligible items. The purpose of this mobile application is to serve as a platform for WIC participants to learn about which foods are WIC eligible and their health benefits. It is also designed to be fun for young children to play with a parent.
